Hey, it’s me, Madison Acker, the summer Marketing and Design Intern for Earthling Interactive. I can’t believe my summer is almost over and I have spent a lot of it helping Earthling with a variety of things from creating posts for their LinkedIn, to writing some of their newsletter articles, to researching the LinkedIn algorithm and Canva Tutorials, to many other projects.
I have learned a bunch of things this summer from this internship that hopefully I will remember to use over the next school year. Some of the things include:
- The current LinkedIn Algorithm and how I can use it to my advantage
- How I can use Canva to its fullest
- How to use AI to help me with different tasks, whether that is creating images and graphics for posts or writing captions
- How to run a sponsor table by myself
I plan to use these skills in my remaining Public Relations and Marketing classes and while in my role as VP of Social Media in the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter at Northern Michigan University (NMU). These skills will also come in useful in my future internships, jobs, and personal projects in my life like my photography Instagram or my LinkedIn.
I would like to thank the Earthling Interactive and LIFT teams for an amazing internship. You’re all great people that have created a fun and informative environment to work in. Maybe we will be in contact again in the future, but for now it is time for me to go back to school.
