Trailz
As a mobile application, the Trailz app needed to allow a user to navigate Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan ATV trails accurately, efficiently and conveniently with a tap of the finger.
CHALLENGE
Update an existing application to fix functionality and add features to improve customer retention and in-app sales.
The Trailz app had issues with partially or non-working functionality when Earthling was contracted to revitalize it. In addition Trailz had no business logic documented, nor was there a list of all issues that needed to be corrected.
SOLUTION
A re-designed app that added premium subscription features, while meeting client expectation in the functionality of the app.
The Trailz app was significantly redesigned to add features to drive premium subscription conversions, while also fixing base functionality to make the app useful to trail riders.
As an existing application with no business logic documented, Earthling developers had to learn Trailz functionality by examining the code and also trying to use the App itself. Client interviews to discuss the expected functionality were also employed to ensure a full understanding of the desired functionality was known. Competitor analysis in conjunction with the Trailz marketing team was key to understanding where to focus efforts to improve Trailz.
RESULTS
Trailz is seeing in an increase in subscription and app download numbers with the new improvements.
Trailz app client is seeing increasing subscription membership and app downloads. The app now includes premium features like off-line maps, ride planning and seeing other group members on a map to to drive the increase in premium subscriptions.
